You post indecent selfies of yourself on the web
You chat up complete strangers on social media
You share every single information about yourself on weird sites.
What exactly are you doing..?!
Because across the globe...
He's relentlessly stalking you up on every social media platform
He, along with his friends are judging you by what you share online.
They are commenting nasty things....tormenting you.
So which exactly is worse?
Sharing your personal details on the internet? Or being the cause of cyber bullying.
Linking this whole topic to freedom of expression
Most of us live in a society where " free speech" is granted to us.
We all have the right to express our opinions, but when it comes to the point of hurting someone, why insist?
There are so many real life examples in this modern day society. And none of them end up well.
Maybe, just maybe...there should be more limits on what we are allowed to voice out. Will the world then be a better place.
Thank you for reading:)
Have a great day xx If you have anything to say, please comment.
Today's internet safety day.
Written with love,
June
" Yes, you have the right to say whatever you want. But should you? "
Okay being a guy I find that 'he; very offensive :P XD
ReplyDeleteI think it is applicable to life in general not only on internet :)
That was just an example haha sorry! Yea.. but people all less aware of the dangers on interent.
DeleteThanks Neal;)
That was awesome J! I love your posts and your blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! xx I love yours as well .
DeleteThis is so true! People need to be waaay more careful with what they share with complete strangers--especially online, because somehow people tend to think that it's "safer" on the internet when in reality it's actually one of the scariest places ever. ('K, that was a little dramatic >__<)
ReplyDeleteThat wasn't dramatic at all;) You are so right!
DeleteI completely agree!
ReplyDeleteMy friend the other day was chatting with a complete stranger who'd somehow gotten her information online. I feel bad for these girls who don't understand the effects of what they're doing.
Yea.. :/ I feel the same way as you do!
DeleteAhhh so true. Girls are going out and taking horribly revealing selfies, posting them on their non-private Instagram with 50000 followers and putting their phone number in the caption. Like what? Do you have a brain.
ReplyDelete~Noor
a little bit of sunshine
Putting their phone number in the caption :') ahahha.....
DeleteI totally agree with you!
This is true! Gosh, this is the reason why I never post any personal photos of me on my blog and have my Instagram on private... I mean, it only leaves me with 20 followers on Instagram, but it's a lot safer than having 5000 following and one being a creepy stalker.
ReplyDeletexoxo Morning
Yes!:) I don't have many followers on instagram either. But I like it that way, only my friends can see my private photos:)
DeleteThank you Morning xx
This is really thought provoking! I agree that their should be limits to free speech when what you are saying is hurting you and/or others because like you say these situations never end well. xx
ReplyDelete:)
Thank you beautiful xx
DeleteThis really got me thinking... Thank you for sharing this. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Nicole! <3
DeleteI agree totally! It's very easy to get carried away on the internet and share everything about yourself when people seem so nice. But you have to remember that people censor what they say online and they could be a totally different person from what they seem to be. Always exercise caution! Great post :)
ReplyDeleteLaura @BlueEyeBooks
I agree with you! What they seem to be online may have nothing to do with who they are in real life.
DeleteThank you Laura :D
I find it's easy for people to get angry/mean on the internet, especially if they don't know the real story... (Love this post!)

(p.s. I'm having a giveaway on my blog! go to: megannsmusic.blogspot.com to check it out!)
Thank you Megann, I'll check out your giveaway! <3
DeleteI think that this balance of freedom of speech and appropriateness is a hard one to balance - but I agree with you, some things are better left unsaid.
ReplyDeleteLizzie Dripping
Yes, it's a pretty controversial topic as well. Thank you xx
DeleteI agree with you 100 percent. Some people just need to learn how to bite their tongue, and others need to learn common sense.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy! <33
DeleteGod I know!! But it really is their choice to post what they want so it's not like we should censor it or anything. If they want to, they can. If it makes you uncomfortable, just unfollow. They're really none of your business, unless you're into looking at that kind of thing. This morning someone was showing me a guy on her facebook (coz girls are too common nowadays) who posted a pic of him with only a towel, held over that area. He was so unattractive!! Maybe attractive guys can. Hahaha I sound like a creep. But yeah, I think it's part of our generation's culture now, an unsafe source of gossip and insecurity. It happens and it shouldn't effect us. My only message to you would be don't post a video of yourself masturbating. Please. No one wants to see that.
ReplyDeleteAnd June, everyone loves stalking people on social media. I know I do. And it's not a bad thing if you have the option to be on private.
